YOUR ROLE & EXPERIENCE

Please rank your preference on the type of leadership role you'd like to play in your Life Group (highest preference, second highest preference, and lowest preference). We will do our best to pair you with the role that is a best fit for your preferences and the needs that we have!

Here's a quick description of the roles (more specific info will be given at Life Group Leader Training):
Administrative Leader: focuses on organization and communication (including organizing dinner for your Life Group), following up (personally welcoming and orienting new members), submitting metrics each week, and is the main source of communication for the group.
Environment Leader: focuses on hospitality and welcoming people into your home (or at the home of whoever is hosting), including creating a welcoming atmosphere for group leaders and welcoming people at the door when they arrive.
Discussion Leader: focuses on facilitating and leading discussion, including prayer time. Weekly content guides will be provided by the Groups team, but the Discussion Leader should pray and be prepared to lead this discussion well.
ALL LEADERS will share in the responsibility of prayer, pastoral care for the group (with support and training from the Groups team), planning (including meals), and engaging with people on Sundays and throughout the week to invite them to your group.

LIFE GROUP LEADER EXPECTATIONS

Life Group Leaders serve in an incredibly important role within Queen City Church! This role is vital in helping accomplish our mission and vision as a church, especially as it comes to helping people become disciples of Jesus. Although we do not at all expect perfection, it is our heart that Life Group leaders are living out the heart of 1 Corinthians 11:1, as Paul says "Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ."

Due to the nature of this role we ask that all Life Group Leaders understand and agree to a couple of expectations:
Our vision is for Life Group Leaders to lead long term, but ask for at least a 6 month commitment to help facilitate consistency.
We ask that all Life Group Leaders agree to and sign the Queen City Church Leadership Standard. This will officially be done at Life Group Leader Training, but if you have any questions or would like to further discuss, feel free to email groups@queencitypeople.com.
We ask that all Life Group Leaders make every effort to attend Life Group Leader Trainings (3x per year).
